I felt a rush of adrenaline come from the tips of my toes to the top of my head, hands shaking uncontrollably. A coworker got loud and yelled at me (again) today to vent his frustration. He is a pretty easily angered person, and has a short fuse, but this is getting ridiculous. I was finishing up puling my truck and it was getting late, almost time to call it a day. he walked by and yelled, "Who's gonna finish your truck, JON?- 'cause you sure as fuck aren't."
man, I was miffed. I had done the best i possibly could have done all day and this dude intimates I have done fuck all the whole day long. I have had enough of this mess. I am not of the practice of saying nothing, and so I raised my voice as well. " I don't see how that is my fault," I said, and he replied with "you haven't done anything but jack off all day." Gee, I was upset.
I have had enough of this factory rat mentality, people who have done nothing but this all their lives, and this is as good as it gets. It is sad really, and frustrating all at the same time. Here I am, college diploma in hand, and because of my past all i can really do is work in a factory (for now). Sad because none of my coworkers values the merits of a good education. Heck, one of my co-workers thinks his sons are going to be professional athletes. Man. The other is a guy who resents everyone and everything for the hard walk and bad shake he has gotten in life.
Rotten way to treat people, what, as though because of your poor self-esteem and general shitty way one has handled life one treats others as if 'what, you think you're better than me'...well, this cannot go on forever. One day i will look back on this part of my life and laugh about the poor unfortunate souls who late in their lives will regret how they treated people and wish they lived by the golden rule regardless of how it turns out for them, 'cause it is not so important how i am treated, but moreso the most important thing how i treat others. Onward. Moving on, moving forward.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!
Here it is, Sunday and it is rainy outside. little droplets of spring rain. At least it is rain, not snow. I love the sound cars make when they drive by the house- a shisssssh, as compared to no rain; or, rather, snow which sounds more like a rumble whoosh.
I was thinking lately- it is good to spend time at home, and also good to get out and see the world. I choose to live every day being mindful of the world around me, regardless of my surroundings. It does not matter where you are or what you are doing, just be mindful. Be here now.
Yup. Here now.

Freakin' Out
We're in a tight spot!
I am freaking out a little, ok, a lot. I have been blessed to be able to teach classes at the local public library, and damned if I fear I have bitten off a little more than I could chew. My next class at the library is "Blogging- beginning middle and end" and includes a bit of instruction on writing...(is it ironic I just typed writhed?) I have very little experience on blogging in general, let alone vlogs or podcasting. In other words, I will be learning as my students learn.
In another, totally unrelated topic, the president is trying to get health care legislation passed and has encountered a great deal of resistance. Politics in general is broken, and party lines are blurred. People have resisted change, even though the change could be an ethos. We are the wealthiest nation on the planet and there is no reason our citizenry should ever know discomfort due to food, shelter or health care. It doesn't make sense. I am no socialist, but wealth SHOULD be distributed evenly if possible, especially if it means healthier Americans.
OK. I have already said too much, considering the fact my class will probably read this blog at some point.

It seems...
Seems crazy to me that I have had such grandiose plans about writing, and, frankly, have been piss poor at so doing. I recently saw a former classmate of mine who is documenting his first fatherhood with words and photographs. I am so exhausted by the end of the day that I cannot find the energy or the time to blog or take photos. That makes me sad, very sad. My wife suggests that this whole factory thing is but a stepping stone for a greater life and greater future. I agree, but would be remiss if I did not say I am very impatient and really ready to move on, to make some things happen. I know this will happen in time, and good things come to those who wait.
Again, this is another case of impatience in this instant gratification world in which we live. We are so used to getting what we want when we want it, and have gotten used to getting our way, we cannot tolerate the opposite. It seems crazy, but the world we live in is very needy and very selfish. So it goes.
