Ach, mein lieben

Wow, it is funny how much attachment we have to things, and obsession with gadgetry drives me batty. I want to get ahold of some new technology, gadgets- ipod touch or iphone, but why? I want things figuring they will fill some void or make me happy, but I find that the toys are not what bring me happiness. There are things in this world which make us happy, but rarely do we know what they are ahead of time, and once we do know, it seems harder than ever to attain. Oh well, it goes to show our attachments lead us to suffering...Too true.

Recently confronted with the facts of life, I am greatly appreciative of the ability to think and use my noggin. It seems stubborn, stupid people keep stealing all the good air as well as wasting the precious time of the rest of us. This statement is not one of holier than thou, or "I am better than, smarter than, cooler than" but simply out of a desire for personal preservation and avoidance of getting "stupider." Yeah, that is not a word.
Seriously lacking motivation and what for, why and how do you do. Well, I reckon this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I am growing tired of facebook and myspace, bored and exasperated by the lack of genuine people asying things of substance, rather than "I can't wait until friday..."
